made for dino 🦕 as part of the Bitsy Secret Santa Jam
the prompts i incorporated were "bread baking" and "cozy"
-x-
how to play:
use wasd or arrow keys (or on mobile, swipe) to move and interact
notes on development:
- made in bitsy for me, a version of bitsy (by Adam Le Doux) that i hacked together to better suit my needs
- i need to give a big thanks to my teammates on team green for their feedback and encouragement in this process! i had a fun time in this jam, and i hope to be able to participate again next year :3
- tools i used:
- itsy-bitsy font by me
- pixsy by ruin
- bitsy optimizer and the avatar-by-room, edit image from dialog, long dialog, paragraph breaks, and transparent sprites hacks by Sean
- Borksy by AYolland
- Shiftsy by Brandon Thread
- recommended listening: [link here]
- i spent several hours playing and re-playing Toby Fox's games, Undertale and Deltarune, before and during development. the abundant and clever use of flavor text in those games inspired me to emphasize that game mechanic here.

The opening "cutscene" had me floored with how visually beautiful it was, and then it just got better from there! So cozy 🥺
this is soo cozy! and i really did enjoy the visual effect...
oh this is so sweet and cozy!!! i love how you did the scene where they watch tv! just the art is great, the mood is great (i did put on the playlist!) and it was a balm on my soul <3
omg omg omg you even put on playlist!!! 🤩 I'm glad that you liked it and that it brought you some peace <3 thank you for playing!
this is amazing!! thank you so much
i'm so glad you like it! i feel so lucky that i got to make this for you, both because the prompts you gave really resonated with me, and because i admire your work. :3 your game "i don't like it when the ocean barks at me" inspired me to start using items to create highlights and try new color combinations. i'm grateful i had the chance to "give back" to you in a way.
